Our vision is for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities to be fully participating members of the community, living “A Life Like Yours.”
That means:
getting an education that doesn't segregate you from your peers
having full access to the places, activities and events that interest you
finding a job that uses your skills and talents
living in a home of your own choosing
People of all abilities deserve to be a part of the community -- not apart from the community.
As a local chapter of The Arc of Virginia, we serve the Tri-Cities area. This includes Petersburg, Hopewell and Colonial Heights, as well as surrounding counties like Dinwiddie, Prince George and Chesterfield.
