Bill Feasenmyer Commissioner of Revenue

The office of Commissioner of the Revenue was created by the Virginia General Assembly in 1786. Commissioners are constitutional officers who are elected to 4 year terms by the citizens of their locality. They are the chief tax assessing officers in Virginia's cities and counties. The current Colonial Heights Commissioner of the Revenue, Bill Feasenmyer, was elected in November 2013 and took office on January 1, 2014. He and his staff administer the assessments for businesses and individuals based on State and Local code as adopted by the Virginia General Assembly and by the Colonial Heights City Council.
