  • The Board of Directors shall be composed of fifteen (15) members, one third of whom shall be elected annually to serve for three (3) years, or until their successors are elected and have qualified. In addition to the above 15 the incoming President may appoint, subject to the approval of the Board from three (3) to six (6) members to the Board to serve one (1) year terms. The Past President and the Executive Director shall serve as members of the Board. The City Mayor, City Manager, the Director of Planning and Economic Development, the Police Chief, the Fire and EMS Chief, the Sheriff and a representative of the Colonial Heights School System shall serve as ex-officio non-voting members of the Board. The President may appoint, with the approval of the Board, additional ex-officio non-voting members to the Board in support of the goals, objectives and programs of the Chamber.
    The government and policy-making responsibilities of the Chamber shall be vested in the Board of Directors, which shall control its property, be responsible for its finances, and direct its affairs.
